I suggest you have support for separate weapon and player models for both teams, so for a WW2 game there can be the correct models for Allied and Axis teams. A mounted machine gun and a bolt-action rifle would be nice too.

2. How so? Explain without using 'Jagex' as that isn't an actual argument against something, it's just a cop-out for one.

You could argue many things actually ruin AoS, but RPGs could be a great idea if added with proper balance as well as the rest of the weaponry, since ultimately they makes things a lot more unpredictable. It's actually a nice change to add in, but all weapons should be balanced as much as possible before new ones are added.

RPGs are not a bad idea, but if you've played Jagex's Ace of Spades, you will know that the single-barrel RPG is one of the most overpowered weapons in the game (90% of the time it's a one hit kill if you're within the huge blast radius), even though it's a secondary most people just use it as a primary and forget about the minigun.
So if you want RPGs, don't make them extremely easy to use and with one-hit kill ability. One or the other shouldn't be a problem though.
But since the game is set in WW2, I don't think a RPG is the most suitable weapon for that.

If topo does contemplate adding one, you can't base whether he should or not on how an entirely different dev does. There's tons of different ways to balance one.

It's great to see some debate!
As it stands now, the engine itself is my priority. I'd like a solid base on which we can thoroughly test suggested gameplay changes. Balancing the weapons is obviously hugely important, and what sounds good in theory may not work at all in practice, so we're not going to commit to anything just yet.

I would do RPG's like they do in Insurgency- it's a one hit kill, fairly small blast radius, single use.
Mind you, everything in that Gameis 1/2 shot kill...

Just because Jagex did something doesn't make it automatically a terrible thing. I'd enjoy an RPG if it was done right.

I would like to see the RPG (1-shot disposable Panzerfaust?) be introduced as an anti-structure weapon instead of an anti-personnel one, basically it does more damage against blocks and is not very effective against players. Also it should be issued to a class other than the rifle (Shotgun = engineer type class? or SMG).

Instead of classes, RPG should replace grenade.
