I've been playing guncraft for so long to the point i am in contact with all devs and creator. It is a very awesome game. Let me just point out that every voxel game had its inspiration including minecraft. though it has "craft" in it, it is really nothing like minecraft, or AOS. Guncraft is extremely fast paced which means the quicker you move the more you stay alive. It has many features that you will find helpful, such as the foundary. Here you can make guns, classes, maps, skins, and prefabs. prefabs are basically prebuilt items you can place because there never is enough time to do it block by block. By then you usually get your head blown off, stabbed, sniped a couple times, stabbed again, and blown up. Melee has been nerfed down a little so people focus more on guns but it wasn't too much to make it useless (still extremely useful). It is updated, and the devs work full time, they are a small team but don't doubt them. The game comes with steam workshop where if you dont want to make a gun skin map or prefab you can just go here. Last week the game was just updated, and there will be a big announcement at the end of the week on the forums. The community is a little small (but very alive) so i would at least recommend to wait for a sale when a population spike hits. If you want to get it now, i'll be waiting. Endless guns maps prefabs skins classes and strategies. try it.

Guncrap is a totally BS rip-off of the incredibly popular Minecraft + something framework, and to an extent, Ace of Spades...
Also, custom guns are shit in that game.

Basically what other people have said, I was actually gifted this game and boy I am glad I didn't pay money for this. First off basically nobody plays this game, usually you'll only see 1 out of the about 10 servers that exist have any players in them. And customizable weapons is a good, but that should really only be limited to the look of the weapon, letting people edit the stats of your weapon is asking for trouble, even if there is somebody moderating the weapons on the Steam Workshop. It blatantly rips-off the classes, weapons, feel and design of Battlefield more than Jagex's Ace of Spades rips-off Team Fortress 2.

tl;dr: This game is dead, spend your £10.99 on something better.

Thank you all for your opinions. The stat system is still being changed around even now, you have to be able to hit the delicate balance and that just takes time. I'll just tell you the reason I've stayed with it for so long, besides my awesome clan, you are able to interact and be chill with the developers and get to your concerned or issues immediately. I love the community on there even if small. I get to be and do what ever i want on there. I've made awesome golden guns from the top of my head, with a Tyreal styled halo skin, and I've personally made scythe's the main type of weapon people build and use. There is soooo much people don't know about that you can do when hosting a server (we are working on that). I am sorry for those who have such ill opinions of it when it really doesn't deserve it. This post is mainly for those who are just looking to try it. The population maybe low but if you are able to get at least just 1 other person to join your server it actually fills up quickly to full within minutes.

By that logic world of warcraft is just another minecraft ripoff since it has craft in it... There are weapon mods for Minecraft, sure it doesn't have custom guns building but it's close enough. If anything this game is a mix between a Battlefield and Ace of Spades rip-off (it's just obvious if you have played this game for any amount of time). I wouldn't mind if it was a good rip-off, but it isn't.

Lol, you've done a great job trying to scrape players for your shit little game. Clearly you aren't just a player and my guess would be that you are apart of the Guncraft staff, or some sort of notable community member (the wiki editor) as you refer to yourselves as 'we' not 'it' or 'them'. See, you don't come to the forums of a game, spew bullshit about your own game, and then express your frustration when we call a bad thing bad.

Well I see the maturity level is less than none here, nevertheless I shall retire. I will leave you on this last fact though. Guncraft is just a voxel fps game where you can make guns, not some ripoff or a joke, but its own unique game. (btw I'm not apart of staff just a player lol) I'm sorry if I didn't get to refute all of your arguments because doing such is just as pointless as trying to make a blind man see. On that note rooster teeth is awesome, I'll cya. ;)

Firstly, the maturity has absolutely NOTHING to do with the criticisms of the game. The game is bad. Everyone's already accepted that.
We can also make our own guns (through modding) and without the incredibly serious balance issues the game has.
It's not unique anyhow. Voxel or cube shooters intend to copy off the success of Minecraft, and only a handful are actually successful at that.
And most of all, AoS (well, at least the beta) is FREE and has an active player base. Why pay 15$ when you can get a better experience here?
