M14 looks great, but the stock (especially the grip) doesn't look right.

Yeah, that is one the things I'm trying to fix. I've always been godawful at making stocks and this one is specially challenging.

Actually, it's not that challenging if you don't make it so big :P
Try make the grip first, then build the stock from there on. Separate the grip with the stock, don't turn it into a big pile of mess-link the grip and the stock with a one-voxel thick line of sorts as a temporary solution. Until you can get the stock right , don't fill that link. Don't be worried too much anyway, M14's stock's shape is similiar to alot of other wooden stocks kinda thing.

mmm yeah I kinda abandoned it a month and a half ago
so there's that
I didn't progress much from what I had, actually, and when I was using it I personally didn't care a lot about the stock, as I didn't see it in first person and it wasn't that much bigger than the shoulder.
