There's this thing called a "background check" that's done for anyone who holds a public office. The higher the office, the more vigorous the check. Considering he was a senator before president, it's pretty safe to assume that he's been through multiple checks and been scrutinized by the CIA.

And 'race' implies a group of people or a population bound by common culture, language, history, etc. So yes actually, while Islam is technically a religion, the Islamic/Muslim population can be thought of as a race.

No, I don't like Obama because of his views and actions. (I actually don't like many presidents) I'm not racist and neither is anyone else that shares that point of view. The race card is something people pull out because they see that he isn't white. When in reality people that point out his race are the ones being racist.
