Spoiler:
I was taking a shit. It was very enjoyable. I then remembered this game from my childhood (You'll see it farther down) Not because the game was shitty, it was because I always think a lot on the toilet. I have very fond memories of this game and I wanted to just see if anybody else in the community had similar experiences (Not experience with taking shits, experience with having fond memories of old games from your childho- Fukit I'm bad at this, I'll just stop now.
One of MY favourite games from my childhood would have to be this shit.

The one for the DS, not the one that was basically GTA with big ass robots.

This game was the shit, it was just so fucking good. You could run around blowing random shit up or fighting randomly encountered Decepticons (Depending on which version you bought of the game) It had a lengthy campaign (If I remember correctly, I sadly wasn't able to finish the game before I acted like a huge fgt and fucked up the game...card...thing) and even had a level system with experience and new abilities! What more could you ask for in a game!?

Character models were ugly as fuck tho

BUT...That wasn't the main feature of this game that was amazing...no, that would be the scanning system.
(I wish I had illustration for this, but nobody gave a shit about this game back in the day...sadly.)
You could basically tap an icon on your hud thing at the bottom, point it at the car and...voila! You now have the option to go into the menu and select that car (Which would also come with a robot model) and drive it wherever the fuck you wanted, whenever the fuck you wanted. Or maybe you would prefer a jet? or a helicopter? the possibilities were endless.

And that was about it
Find some games from your childhood you were fond about, talk about it and have a lot of nostalgasms on the way ;)

My childhood had revolved mainly around sports. The rare occasion that I did play video games I played this. It was also my first video game, my parents got me a GBA with this game for Christmas for helping around the house.

I basically played every Pokémon part for the DS and Gameboy(Color and Advance), I still have a Nintendo 64 somewhere lying on my roof with games like Pokémon Stadium 1 and 2, LylatWars(known as the EU version of StarFox 64) and many other games, also have a Wii with some games but I rarely play Wii, and some NFS parts for the Gamecube

If by childhood you mean really young, then Super Mario World on the SNES with my dad.

Otherwise clocking in thousands of hours in Knights of the Old Republic on Xbox for a while.
