If you like StarMade you'll probably also like Space Engineers. Space engineers is less exploration more making a better ship/base and what not.

It's a good game, I just wish it was optimized in any way whatsoever.

It goes incredibly slow for how basic the graphics are. Yes my computer has a 4 year old integrated graphics card, but I can run Minecraft much better than this. Even just looking at a shop I get about 8 FPS. And forget about visiting a space station or a planet, unless you want 1 or 2 frames.

Same, but Space Engineers is even slower for me.

download some MLG artist's blueprints, put them in you database, then
U ENEMIES GET RECKT.

dodecahedronal planets, relative gravity, epic space battles, pixel art, pirates, warring factions, high-def graphics, infinite universe, multiplayer, mining ships, fighters, capital Uberships, STEAM VERSION, world-destroying weapons...

You are late. Pretty sure we used to have a Starmade server hosted by one of the aloha staff.
