Once I actually have something interesting to show I'll make a video. If you want I can make a little video of the current progress, minus the terrain as it's not yet finished and is kinda broken.

I know it looks like one, but that's only because currently I'm only rendering the top and bottom faces of the blocks, writing the code for the sides right now, I'll post more screenshots once it's done

The terrain system is kinda finished now.
Here's a random render of a chunk with some blocks removed:

And here's a video of blocks getting destroyed:
The terrain system is fairly well optimized, all the blocks within a chunk are combined into a single mesh, meaning that the game doesn't have a heavy load on your GPU. Each chunk will be a separate mesh and only the chunks in a certain radius around you will be constantly updated, other chunks which are further away will be updated only every once in a while, after a certain amount of time passes.

On a side note I'd appreciate if you guys would suggest a good name for the game, as I'm kinda tired of calling it AoS clone and also in a couple ways calling it that could mislead people.

The game is going good, right now I'm recoding the weapons code from scratch so that it's easier to manage. Also thinking about opening a thread in a different section.

If I were you just get it to where you can shoot and kill someone, build, and connect to another server using dirrecet connect or a master server. After that push out a demo and make thread in the voxlap discussion for it

So, I haven't posted in a little while now and the reason is that I sadly lost all the game files (stupid dropbox), so I'm gonna have to redo the game. In a way it's a good thing, but I might take a while :/

That sucks, tribZ has come along ok. I have an alpha build that shows off the building but it is really early and has alot of bugs. I would like some feedback from you, you can download it here: http://tribz.webs.com/downloads

Nice, seems alright for a version this early. I'm so upset I lost my game, but oh well, I can redo it even better I suppose.

bummer that you lost your project, but yeah, just try to do something even better. whenever I lose something I'm working on, I just make sure the next version is even better
