Steam release of Ace of Spades - successful refund

I made a ticket asking for a working product or a refund, and they politely declined both requests saying that I "Would have to take it up with the game's producer as we are not liable for the product they release" (or words to that effect). Needless to say I was not impressed, no have I ever been with their support system.

That's like buying something from a shop but then going to the person who owns the building, not the salesman of the product, for a refund. Of course you're going to be referred to the right person.
