Oh god SS13, I love this game so much. Even though I barely play it anymore these days because of the big amount of drama that goes on behind the scenes
I actually used to be (Still am, but I'm really in-active and they never bothered to remove my admin status) an admin on the
/tg/station servers. It's quite a bit different from Goonstation in that it's a bit more serious (You cannot cut off someone's behind for example) but that doesn't detract from the fun.
For example, one of my more glorious moments while playing on the /tg/station servers would be that one time where I blew up an alien hive and it's inhabitants (There is a player controlled xenomorph faction that can invade the station on certain rounds.) through the use of teleportation science.
To explain what happened:
The radio channel started getting filled with the screams of crewmembers being pounced on by aliens inside of the maintenance corridors and being dragged off into the darkness. Most of them ended up being infested and gave birth to new xenomorphs, allowing them to become more powerful and giving the already disorganized security team a lot of trouble. The aliens were slowly being pushed back, but once the security members arrived at the hive they discovered that it was located on one of the station's external solar panels. (Aliens do not need oxygen to breath.) Meaning that they could not fully eradicate them as they didn't have enough space suits. As most of them got lost as the people wearing them got abducted.
Most of the security force got wiped out in the end, and with the hive quickly expanding into the station we had to act quickly. That's where I came in, as a scientist I had been working on the teleportation machinery which allows for the pinpoint sending and retrieval of items, players and other things which are not anchored to the ground.
We had a solution, a plasma bomb that could wipe out the whole hive and every alien in the vicinity. However, we lacked a way of getting the bomb to the target. As going in there on foot would be suicide. The aliens would easily overwhelm us as we did not have enough weaponry and the aliens were too mobile to outrun, especially in space.
We thought about attaching a timer to the bomb and using the teleporter, but the aliens would just drag it away before it could explode. And since all of our remote signalers were used up during testing it seemed like we were all out of options. But then I remembered that I was wearing a hardsuit that I managed to retrieve from deep space earlier that round using said teleporter. So with no other option available, I volunteered to be teleported right into the middle of the hive with the bomb.
The co-ordinates were quickly calculated and the teleporter was all set up and ready to go. As I grabbed the bomb and walked up on the pad, I thought that it would be the last thing I would do that round as we did not have the time to back up my DNA. But my sacrifice would be worth it if it meant eradicating the alien threat once and for all. So I ordered them to press the button.
In the blink of an eye I was catapulted through bluespace (server canon about how teleportation functions) and appeared right on target. The middle of the alien hive with a bomb in my hand. With my heart racing I looked around to notice several aliens turning around and moving towards me. Among those aliens was their ruler, the alien queen. I realized I didn't have a lot of time before they would be right on top of me. The queen was already lining up for a shot of neurotoxin which would mean my death. Without much second thought I opened the valve on the bomb, allowing the superheated plasma to mix with the oxygen and starting the chain reaction which would make the bomb explode. With the bomb seconds away from exploding and the aliens rapidly approaching, I gathered all of my strength and flung the bomb in the direction of the group of aliens and then decided it would be a good moment to start running like hell.
And what a good moment that was, after I started running in the opposite direction the bomb landed right in front of the group of aliens with the queen standing in the middle. Little could they do to change their fate as the bomb exploded a fraction of a second later. Reducing them to nothing. Only small pieces of scattered flesh and resin remained of what was once a big hive threatening to destroy the station and their inhabitants.
Surely I was dead, no-one could survive such a blast. But apparently I did survive, even though I did have a nasty case of temporary deafness and a few bruises here and there. My hardsuit took most of the damage and probably saved my life. Either way, as I approached the hive I noticed the damage done and concluded that the aliens were no longer a threat. Which turned out to be one of the things I did end up guessing correctly. So I decided to walk back to the space I first teleported in at, the plating underneath surprisingly still standing. And contacted the other scientists through my headset, asking if they could hit the return button.
As I arrived back at the teleportation lab, I was greeted by the rest of the research staff. All of them exclaiming that I was a hero and applauding me, after a quick visit to the medical bay we boarded the escape shuttle that had just arrived and had a peaceful trip back to central command for debriefing.
Many laughs were had that day, and it reminded me of just how awesome this game really can be if you know what you are doing.

I have a lot more stories like this, but those will have to wait for another time as it would take a while to write them down. Either way, I strongly recommend that everyone at least gives this game a shot as there are barely any games in existence with this amount of depth and complexity.
