Keep getting some sort of SDL error

OpenSpades is an open source alternative client for AoS Classic and beyond! Runs on Windows, Mac, and Linux. Created by yvt.
Compatible with AoS Classic.

I posted this on the big 0.0.11 post but nobody really responded. I run Ubuntu 14.04 and I've compiled OpenSpades based on the Readme included. Everything seemed to work out until I launched it with the "openspades" command. I then got this error message: http://imgur.com/o8o0hOw

I've made sure to download all the .pak files and I downloaded all dependencies that the Readme recommended. I really don't know what to do at this point. Help is greatly appreciated!
