I'm having a problem with the new version.

Pretty much the game loads to this point: http://imgur.com/hwIAx8u
Then it shuts down.
Other versions worked fine.
I had the same problem. I am not sure why it is caused. But redownloading helped me.

Implying he listens...
I've given up replying to him, because he just can't logic (or grammar).

And yes, if your game is closing when you connect to the server, it's very easy to fix: READ THE FUCKING MANUAL

I have been asked by the developers and few players that cant handle the truth , I said what Iceball needs and posted hard but constructive criticize but they cant handle it and they started a witch haunt against everyone that thinks different then they.

Yea, SMG is what Iceball needs, am i right guys?
Look, we do need constuctive critism, but since you are not an constructive critic and just being plainly annoying, i(and a few others) suggest you to gtfo before Grease gone mad and send a virus to your computer and ban you from the forums.

Vgucy, this is a thread for developing the game. You can submit bug reports if you'd like, but denying that a playable game is playable is just stupid and not helpful in any way.

I just said its not really playable (and that its far from a totally enjoyable game ) its buggy you sometimes fall trough block pass trough them the sensitivity thing is weaird the player models are awefull and so on. But yes Saying that its not playable isn't that helpful.

That exists to stop people of a certain calibre (as seen in the few posts above yours) from joining and spouting bullshit about it. Clearly, it hasn't worked so well on the bullshit part...

I'd like to point out that Vucgy did post some constructive criticism earlier which wasn't "ADD SMG PLZ IT SUKS" and I've addressed the points.

Anyhow, what you must understand is that this game is still in development, and there are definitely kinks we haven't ironed out yet.
We did have quite some fun on a 128x128 gen map, and the way that's implemented right now is it scales a 512x512 map down with nearest-neighbour interpolation, but not in the height department, so the cliffs were bloody huge :) Check it out on the server if you're interested.

In that scenario, yeah, I might have to find out how to slow the player down when autoclimbing, as it did feel a bit too fast in places. It does feel cool without fall damage, but I might consider chucking that in too.

The falling through blocks thing is an issue with the way autoclimb is implemented at the moment. I might remove the autoducking stuff to slow it down a tad (as well as to alleviate this bug) - this will make going through 3-high stair tunnels utter hell, but I tend to build 5-high stair tunnels so I guess you guys will have to follow suit >:P

If the sensitivity is too high, edit your config in clsave/pub/user.json. If you don't want to mangle your copy of user.json, make another file on there, and use the -user= switch, e.g. -user=clsave/pub/lumpybutts.json.

I have drunken camera enabled by default in the repo, and yeah, it's actually a bit nastier than the version in AoS. There's a list of stuff to be changed lying around in the dev forums, which I'll need to get on top of.

Nice to see that things are coming really into place.

There is just one thing I hate about the GUI though (it may just be a nitpick however). It's the numbers. Just annoys me how it seems like it was made in MSPaint with the Freehand tool.

Seems you haven't pulled lately.
The freehand numbers were done by me using gimp, the shadows done by colour-select, selection grow/feather, and spewing the bucket onto a new layer.
Triplefox has stuck in some gradiented numbers to replace them as he was kinda sick of them himself.

That was fun.

Context: We beat HoboHob/Colorpinpoint in a 2v2 on a 4x4-square gen.
