I think 3v3 would be the best idea. As Eraaaaz said, we can have more matches and there will be even more (hopefully different) teams. There wouldnt be this sub discussion and op subs etc etc. There arent that many maps for 3v3, but I think this community has enough, good mappers who are able to create some cool 3v3 maps. A match could have sth like two halfes (20 minutes per halfe) and teams can switch the side in the "break". This would also solve the problem with the op towers, because its very difficult to get the intel if there are 1 or 2 builders who have more than 20 minutes time to build some intel tower. Anyway, I think a 3v3 would be sth new and interesting because 4 seasons 5v5 became boring (imo)..

I do see how it can make the matches more even, but it just seems too cruel to me.
I think we should do some test runs with 3v3 and 4v4 to see how well they play before we make a decision. We would also need to make a bit smaller maps for 3v3 games, but I don't see that as a problem.

In 5v5 there would be a lot of people in the base which makes the game boring. 3 are raping your base while 1 is building and 1 is smg-sniping from the tower. imo 4 players are ideal. I think I get why you think 3 players are not good enough. There wouldn't be much action and as I said before just one OP player would completely change the game. An average player team would have no chance against a team with a that OP player.

I haven't played much 4v4 matches and I don't really can think of any maps for that size. The maps we used the current season would be a bit too big.

Oh, one more thing. I hate it when one team dosen't want to play on a map and then it takes 15 min just to pick a bloody map. Admin should decide the map or something. There should be a system that would solve that retarded problem.

Yea, lets do some tests before committing to the idea.

Instead of decreasing the team sizes, why don't we increase the limit of core members?

My ideas:
-Stay with 5v5
-Increase number of coremembers
-Mandatory number of matches per week or else disqualification (probably 1,its kinda boring to see 5 weeks of nothing and then suddendly 20 matches in the last week)
-Advertise it abit more to (non)forumusers (like a damn big popup on the main portal saying something like "wow look there is this league you and your friends should attend!" or a popup built into openspades saying "join the league!")
-Special badges for the winner,2nd and 3rd place of the previous season
Ideas that take it abit further:
-For the playoffs:Make every match best of 3 and limit the mappool to 7.Every team gets to veto 2 maps and the other 3 are getting played
-Give the winner of last year a guaranteed spot in the playoffs.
-A minimum of 15 points to be even allowed into the playoffs
-Only allow changes of the roster once per week
-Make the playoffs double elimination system
-Add a prize for the winner.People love prizes.(Found it with ads or ask ppl to give money)

If this were implemented, the winning team can just watch the league happen until the playoffs start. (Pretty much what Pedroh said.)

Thats the point.
The prize is being able to skip the regular season.
