Sure, But guns should not be encouraged. Because around 70% of people of America don't own a gun. And we should keep it that way.

i think that statistic is a little off. search up how many americns own guns and you get ranges from thirty to sixty. its kinda hard to really tell just how many americns own guns

Switzerland has a shitload of people owning guns and they don't seem to be a 24/7 anarchy. The problem is teaching people how to properly use guns instead of just giving them freely to every second redneck.
Also, can you please source me on that statistic? I've seen the number of gun-owning citizens vary wildly from 70% to 45% to fucking 5-10% depending on who you are quoting.

And I can say with perfect seriousness that your so called "pro gun people" are an incredibly vocal minority (that also goes in hand with psychological implications on power, since people who do not have intellectual, social, or political power are the ones that resort to buying guns). A civil war would never break out.
Also, the Bundy ranch standoff convinced me that drone strikes on American soil is actually a good idea.
@Commie, yes there are a lot of factors involved in this, but there is a direct correlation to the legality of guns and homicide rates that point in favor of gun control. Because America's culture is so nationalistic that the only feasible option is to do so.

even if they do get banned though, you know those guns, all that money people payed for them, people are not going to give up thousands of dollars worth of items just because guns get banned

Seriously, think.
Besides, what would probably happen is they would stop the flow of new manufacturing for civilian use and make it a brutally slow process.
Anyhow, "gun control" isn't "ban all guns," as Republicans have yet to find out. In fact, one of the recent bills that was shot down tried to make suppressors illegal because of "omg teh govurmant is gerna take mah guns!"

So whenever you hear someone on the news talking about "gun control" its usually an attempt to ban holographic scopes or suppressors or ridiculously stupid stuff like that.
