This is very true. If study America's past, especially in recent years, there have been many times when we have really overstepped what would be moral. Examples, we declared war on Spainish controlled Cuba and collaterally killed civilians because our warship had an engine failure and sunk. We literally walked our military into Nicaragua because we simply wanted it. We also attacked multiple nations in the Carribean because they threatened to outgrow our sugar plantations. And many more. But living and being as an American, I am not proud of many moments in our history. All countries have their mistakes that cause violence, it's just the fact that our values stand for spreading availability to democracy is a good intention, but sometimes we haven't been the best at executing it right.
