It's not even that much, if you have a desktop computer, you can spend as little as $30 to get an AMD HD5450, which is an good enough GPU to run almost all PC games at low/medium settings (including OpenSpades). If you can't afford that, then you are living in poverty.

I'm sorry that you made a bad purchasing decision to go with a laptop for gaming. Only buy a laptop if you take it outside, if you don't just get an desktop. Laptops are just a no-no for gaming, even the expensive Alienwares/etc that are just unreliable and overheat all the time.

If you are really desperate though, you could do this: http://www.techradar.com/news/computing ... tor-915616

This game attracts people from all over the world. People that even if they had $30 to spend they wouldnt be able to get their hands on a graphics card. Also there are people who dont want to spend any money on upgrading their computer for video games, i.e. parents or people who earn income and would rather spend their money on something else.

I was saying that to anyone who would want to be able to run OpenSpades, obviously some people don't and spend that money on other things. As long as you live in most parts of Europe/USA/Asia you should be able to get hold of a GPU, even if you do have to order one from a online retailer.

Again you're implying that your idea of what's "too much" is everyone else's. Not everyone can go running to mommy and daddy when they need money for a graphics card.

To start off, the type of laptop I got wasn't my decision. My parents went full retard, went on Best Buy and got the cheapest laptop on the list.

Not to mention, I CAN'T get a desktop. I live at two homes, and therefore my computer needs mobility.
Even if I were able to make a permanent setup at my main home, I have no space for a desktop in my room. The only space I have is taken up by an HDTV & TV shelf that I use for the PS3.

Quit assuming everybody is capable of owning a powerhouse desktop.

EDIT: there is a desktop comp in my main house, but it has several issues:
-The thing itself is more than 10 years old, built for WinXP in 2002.
-It's located in a room with broken windows, and that's not exactly acceptable when the weather is crap
-It's next to the Internet modem, but the Ethernet cabling is at another house being used by someone else

There's probably more issues than this, and I'm not throwing $100+ at this dinosaur just so I can play high end games.

(Making an example, this is not me)
My name is Julien, and I live in Brazil.
I have 2 jobs, I'm working towards college.
My parents are paying for my tuition but I have to pay for a place to live.
I play computer games all the time when i am home.
How can I afford a graphics card when all I am doing is saving money for a better future?

As for what Reuben said, as long as you live in a developed country and not in poverty $30 would not be very hard to get hold of.

As for what Major Darkstar said, the average person isn't going to be moving around everywhere.

As for what Arkger said, AFAIK Brazil has very high prices for electronics (import taxes, etc), for example the PS4 costs almost 5x as much as in the USA ($1,800 vs $399), plus how much the average Brazillian earns doesn't make it any better at all. Like I was talking about to Reuben, if you are living in a developed country and not in poverty, $30 isn't very much to lose.

But that's ignoring the fact that 75% of this game is "alguem BR?" You basically just said "I'm only directing this broad statement at a tiny majority of wealthier players"

Yes, I've read those, but your generalizations are bullshit. I live in America and I don't necessarily live in poverty, but my family is pretty lower-class, and those $30 are better spent on food and shelter than shit to run a game. And really what it comes down to is wanting a developer to make it so their game runs on more computers and therefore gets more players is a lot better of an idea than condescendingly telling people to just get more money.

Yeah, just because I used Brazil doesn't mean that does not work for any other countries.

Can't you just use the software renderer if you can't afford to upgrade your computer?
