Aesthetics.
That's what everyone is talking about in this thread.
And I like these ideas, WE NEED DIFFERENT SKINS FOR THE GUNS AND DEUCES.

I see where you are going. I am kind of wanting openspades to be less "simple". but then again, Maybe openspades being simple is the wisest idea.

OpenSpades should move away from 0.75 game mechanics and develop its own. Also like somebody said earlier, having different skins and different sounds for different weapons seems good. OpenSpades needs a machine gun as well, either a LMG or an mounted machine gun. It fits into the theme of AoS because I believe it was based at the time period of the Vietnam War in terms of the weapons.

I just played a bit using OpenSpades, and while I think it looks fantastic, I noticed a few problems:
Blue_NotHappy

1: Sun gets in the way
This problem, of course, doesn't exist in regular Build And Shoot, so I am at a disadvantage.

2: Ironsights are too obstructive
It becomes hard to see what I'm aiming at with the crosshair, the spread helper and the actual model combined.

3: There seems to be a certain distance at which non-OpenSpades users can see me, but I can't see them.
I've been shot multiple times out of the fog.

You can change the spreed guide on and off and use png sites for open-spades. I do agree that fog is a big problem and it really needs to be fixed.

Well I know that, but I like having the spread guide when I'm hip-firing, but when in ironsights it's very cluttered when grouped with the regular crosshair and the model. If there was an option to hide it and the crosshair when aiming, that would be useful.

But, wow, the fog is short. I mean, holy hell. I got sniped while facing my killer directly, and I saw nothing but pure, unbroken fog.

Try sniping people on the babel towers from on the ground and behind their base. You have the sun in your eye and the fog all over the place.

I've actually never had a problem with the fog or the sun in OS. For the sun, just work on not having terrible situation awareness. Also, try not to hang out in fog range of enemy hideouts.
