These are some steps to reduce lag.
  • 1. Unistall every program except the important ones and Ace of Spades,
    2. Delete your documents, pictures, videos, and music folders,
    3. Play Ace of Spades,
    4. If it is still laggy you have a virus on your computer,
    5. Install an anti-virus program or use a backup.
Better instructions:
  • 1. Throw away your computer
    2. Get a new one
    3. Weep and cry at how your old computer was so shitty that it lagged on Ace of Spades

But how do I get money? Should I steal from the rich and give to the poor?

What client? AoS is capped at 30 FPS I think
No. AoS can easily run at 50 or 60 FPS unless you're using Win7 or Win8(topo figured out a fix for Win8).
I don't know about Vista though.
Damn well windows Vista and 7 are pretty similar so that could be my problem right there...Could setting the server client to run in windowsxp compatability mode help?

The OS is not the problem. I have Windows 7 and run AoS with no lag at all. A computer like that should be able to run AoS fine. Maybe reformat your hard drive and reinstall Windows, then try running AoS?

voxlap client is capped at 60(ish) fps
win7 doesn't have any compatibility issues -- that's only win8
you could try xp compat mode (and you may have already) but i doubt it'd help. maybe try openspades and see if that works any better for you?

Maybe try OpenSpades? I was having fps problems too, but I started using OpenSpades and have been running far better.

To boost fps:

- Make sure you've disabled all startup programs (except antivirus of course).
- Run the game at your monitor's native res.
- The game binary might be bloated. Use strip or a Windows equivalent to remove unneeded symbols.
- If these fail, install two (yes, two) antivirus programs and try again.
- Finally, if all else fails, download 0.35 and be happy.

Oh I forgot to mention, if you burn the installed game directory to Blu-Ray (although CD/DVD work okay too) you can usually get a 50% speed-up at least.

Using your logic, he is implying he is serious as well. Might want to re-think that.

What he said was something that anyone with a brain would know that he wasn't serious. What you said sounded like you were serious, if you were or not.
