Hey, another thing that would improve the community. If the rudeness levels could ride down a tad. That whole thread is nothing but stinky bullshit because people got butthurt. If people addressed the problems without getting knickers tied into twists that wouldn't have happened.

Or just not take things to personally. The first forum I was on we were pretty much given free range to insult each other at will (hell, the admins even used public humiliation as an effective way of enforcing rules). Sure, a few 10-year-olds got offended, but ultimately that forum was, and still is, an incredibly enjoyable experience. We all love each other and have followed each other to different communities.

I would guess that Dan banned him for being too insulting, then saying he is stupid. Well, originally I believe, but it rolled into a nice pile of shit.

If you were actually around when Ace of Spades was relevant, you would understand. You don't see the oldies complaining about the behavior on the forums, it's only the new people that think they know how a community should be ran.

You do realize I'm talking about how people insult each other during an argument...? I'm just echoing Dan's words, because that's what leads to Flame wars. And yeah, people have been butthurt since my first post it seems.

Yeah, Dan's ban reason was pretty ironic, but hey, he deserved it either way. And it isn't even a permaban so I'm sure we will see more of him soon...

P.S Why the fuck did he use my words in his argument. I said that they wouldn't do anything we have to say because they most likely have a plan themselves. Instead of making points like I have been doing recently, he was beating the horse that just can't take a break these days. He also had a poor argument, and resorted to insulting people. That's the poorest way to go about anything, because people just lock up and don't wanna listen to a word you are saying (Speaking from experience). As long as you make it easier to swallow their pride and take your point into consideration the better.

I would like to think the goal is to preserve the pre-1.0 experience. Now that the community has OpenSpades the community can do what ever modification to the game they like. Which will be nice to see.

Tbh this just seems unjust with how the community is going. This doesn't feel like a friendly community anymore, and if the goal was to preserve the pre 1.0 experience, well we certainly have failed. Everyone has arguments every day and half of the people who are commenting on this don't even play aos anymore. I know some may play private matches but we should be fixing the quality of public servers than just worry about league. Also this entire community is controlled by very little people which means this is an oligarchy not democracy.
