First off, yelling at people with all caps isn't necessary.
Secondly. Yes, 4shared
does require registration.
Here is what people get when they choose "priority download":

Here is what people get when they choose "free download":
Nobody really wants to go to the effort of registering or downloading an unfamiliar "download manager" when it simply isn't necessary. Which brings me to my
third point.
After downloading it, the user is presented with
this travesty:
May I kindly ask what program did you use to create this? Did you use the heightmapper tool called convert.exe and converth.exe? If so, I suggest you go back and review how you were using it, because you're obviously not doing something right. There's even an old version of the program that does crap like this to your map... you also may not have been using the right color-depth on your heightmap bitmap.
Look, when people download a map, a map of the Earth for example, it really isn't terribly far-fetched for them to expect something that someone had put more than 5 minutes worth of effort into making. Rolling hills. Flat water-level oceans. Soaring mountain ranges. Stuff like that. There are more than a few maps based on maps of the planet Earth banging around out there. At least one is currently on rotation on a server on the master server list. I suggest going and taking a look. Hell, I'll go do it
for you.

See? It looks a bit familiar, no?

See all the happy deuces? They are gleefully
aimbotting shooting each other and griefing northwestern Europe. Poor northwestern Europe.

Sadly, nobody cares about Australia.

Poor Australia. But at least it looks vaguely like a continent floating regally upon an ocean and not some sort of random pixel static.
My point here is that, after all the trouble we've gone to in order to actually
download & see your creation, we aren't rewarded with a finely-crafted product in any sense of the meaning of the words "finely", "crafted",
or "product". This isn't a map release, this is you just practicing using some of the mapping tools. And failing, I might add.
"Oh travesty, despair and woe! People are being mean to me! You are all just big meanies!" you may be thinking of replying. And you might be right. We may actually
be big & mean. But we are also trying to help you out here and give you advice that will save you from further embarrassment in the future. I used to work, among other things, on antique furniture restoration. We had a saying I always loved, even if I didn't always follow it. But I want you to consider the meaning of this phrase.
Measure twice. Cut once.
You can really interpret that however you like. But one interpretation would be to "look before you leap". Take a good look at your map before you release it into the world. Maybe even playtest it yourself! And ask yourself things like, "Will people enjoy this? Does this look good? Am I going to look like a huge honking newb when I post this on a message forum populated by people who have been making maps for a few years?" Stuff like that. If there is any doubt, you may just need to consider
not posting your creation... or posting it in a way that asks people for help making it everything that it could possibly be. And then maybe posting it in a manner that people can actually access easily. And, you know, throw in a couple screenshots that actually give a fair representation of what the map
actually looks like.
Yes. I know this has been a long-winded post. I bet you didn't even read this far. But if you did, please try to take this as advice. To anyone else who is a newbie would-be mapper, please also heed this advice. If you post crap, the community
WILL let you know it. Arguing with them will get you nowhere.
