how do i install mods

im new at modding the open spades game do only thing i know is changing the skin of the soldiers and the smg, but i wanted to do the same with the semi and the mods only come with a kv6 file and i pu it in the directory and nothing happens, also the aming sights / scopes are pngs and i dont know where to put them.
it would be awesome of someone could explain it t

Did you bother renaming the file to semi.kv6?

Any weapon you mod, all need renamed files.
For example:

Cool Gun.kv6

Dropping that in the kv6 directory wont do anything, You'd have to rename it "semi.kv6" to replace the one there. (consider backing it up)

And if you want sights and sounds, you do basically the same thing.

In the PNG and WAV folder.

You'd name the files semi.png and semifire.wav
