So basically, you went crazy with the sphere tool in VoxEd. No offense, but good maps require a lot more planning and technique than inserting balls of voxels all over the shop.

VoxEd shouldn't be used as the main tool in making your map. It should be used to combine terrain and models together, which is really all it's good for.

Yes, this map looks kinda boring. You gotta put more work and effort into them if you want them to look nice.

Afterwards you can also try some other tools like jojoestinky's terrain template to create 3D heightmaps in blender (you need to install blender first) :
