Here's a preview of the AWP. I'll work on the size now, with Roman_rus scripts, and I made the bolt appart from the rifle itself to potentially use a bolt action rifle animation. I just have to learn scripting first.

Ok, SO I've a quite big problem now: VoxelShop doesn't open, the main window disapeared after a mis-double-click and I only see floating windows (like color palette and console). Any ideas how to fix it? I didn't exported the rifle into kv6, I only have it in VoxelShop default format Blue_D'oh .

EDIT: I'm actually remaking it in slab6, but I'm still open to answers...

hmmm. Idk what the problem is with voxelshop. Do the voxelshop.java?

Anywho, that might not help you at all but hell with it, just stick to slab6 :P

Thx guys! I've already reinstalled VS, but it didn't helped so I'll now stick to slab (just discovered the "good" palette, the one used with AoS casings and cac.kvx, camo-time!).
Also, I just finished the HD version of the rifle itself, just need to do the scope and the pivs now. I'm still questioning myself about png sights, so I need you to choose. I'll upload the rifle this afternoon (lol 1:30 AM) with some pics in the morning.

EDIT: Made the rifle, YAY!, need to make the sounds, the sight and the size script implementation. I will not add scripts for animations, it's far too complex for me. Wanna that picture?

EDIT2: Ok, just realized that the size script and the png sights script are not compatible directly. Sh*t.

EDIT3: Notepad++ is clearly amazing, just sayin'.

EDIT4: Script workin', I'm now moving on sounds (I got pretty amazing ones) and scope. Rifle is coming this afternoon!

I like helping out other people because I am not so much into modding :)
1. You can customize slab6 palettes inside slab6.
Press "enter", move mouse over the palette. You should see "63 20 0". Press 4,5,6 and 1,2,3 on your keypad. Those keys customize values of red, green and blue. Don't be afraid to mess around!
2. Download my Bolt-action gun with animation, look into the script.
Short: there are ~6 models: 2xsights, magazine, WeaponNoMagazine, Bolt1, Bolt2. Why do you need 2 bolt models? Because I think it looks better if the handle moves independently up&down when cycling the bolt. The script is quite old actually, so if you have any troubles you should ask me, I'll be glad to help. Seriously, I am quite excited to help out hard-working modders :)
Also you can look into FN FAL's (co-release w/ Warp) script; its scope isn't blocky as you'd expect - it uses another model for blocks that have been rotated 45 degrees.

Oh thanks! I'll look at your scripts during the week. I actually plan to make at least one SMG and one Shotgun with my current workflow before learning scripting, I'll be proud of releasing bullpup and bolt-action rifles that feel like they're these (if it's english Green_Septic ). I'm uploading the AWP right now, the sounds aren't that good but it's my first time with this kind of stuff Blue_Tongue .

And for the scopes, I like when they're coherent with the rifle. I explain myself: I don't like guns with scopes that're more detailed than the rifle itself. I'm probably the only one who think that, but, you know, REASONS.

See ya! I'll probably PM you one time or two, when I'll be learning scripting.

PS: I'll be inactive this w-e and next week, I'll buy Insurgency and Door Kickers, so...

EDIT: AWP uploaded! Cocking sound is just horrible, I'll delete it later. Enjoy! Also: "PNG or not PNG?"

EDIT2: Working on a new weapon right now, will be a surprise ^^. I'll upload new sounds for AWP in the same time, any feedback?

You are damn right about scopes :) I saw SVD I think that had grey scope made out of a hell lot of cubes and it didn't look that nice. But on the other hand, the smaller scope you make, the easier it is to use it.
Also clean up your downloads - name the links after your guns and keep the same style.

3rd person weapon looks nice, but pokes through the guys shoulder.
1st person weapon model covers too much screen, you should move it at least three blocks down and 2-4 blocks to the right.
That bolt cycling sound hurts only when people fire shots in quick succession, which is cure-able by some scripting.
I expected your .png sight to suck, but I found myself actually quite enjoying it... Good job!

I'll remove the cocking sound until I learn a bit scripting. I'll also fix the 3rd person model, I had already noticed this little problem but the rifle was already uploaded and it was too late in the evening for me to work on it. Will work on that soon, no worries. And yup, I put my best in the png >).

EDIT: Surprise! Ok, not a big one ><

EDIT2: Ok, I decided what I wanted to do. So, I'll upload the AK-47, a shotgun and fix the AWP with the same actual workflow (PNG sights and all that stuff). After that, I'll work a bit on scripting (it means a bunch of months w/o mods). Finally, I'll reupload all the actual weaps (possibly including the SCAR) with variants, true sights and maybe animations. GL to me! Also, I just realized that someone made a review of my SCAR 5 months ago, and even if he made a mistake with my name and the name of the rifle, it's a good quality video so what I want to say is: Thank you, man, if you're here, and sorry if you talked to me with PM or in the topic, I didn't notice. That's all for today!

Big up everyone!

I worked hard on my AWP (I know, too much mods at the same time) and... I made the bolt cycling anim, based on Chameleon's scripts, heavily modified by me to have only a single rotating model for the bolt. I also made a true scope, with sights models. I just need to make the sounds now ;).

Ok, worked also on my AK-47 to have anims on it. Made it entirely, without Chameleon's scripts or tutorial (in fact no, his scripts helped myself with the bolt-movin-after-reloadin' part), so it's less cool and pretty than his one, but, ya know, REASONS.

Here are some screens of the AWP, I have to fix some glitches before releasing it.

Srry for the double post, but weaps are done! I'll upload them tomorrow, here's what you can expect:
- shooting and reloading animations made by me and Chameleon (I used his scripts as a starting point for my weapons)
- custom sounds (with a fix for the cocking sound of the AWP),
- true sights, correctly centered (if it's english --.),
- HQ weaps (thx to roman_rus scripts this time): an AK-47 and an AWP

I'll now do a shotgun, I think, and after that a FR F2 or a Hécate II, and a FAMAS.
