Anyway, I'll work on OS for some time but if in something like three months there isn't more activity than today, I'll move on another game :/ Each modder can have his own interest in modding, but for me modding is way more interesting when I can share with a great number of people and have constant feedback. The first motivation I have here is not the people (don't misunderstand this, I do my mods also for the players of OS) but me with the forums and the game dying slowly but certainly. I do my mods mostly for improving myself in scripting and modeling and making the game more enjoyable to play, first for me, secondly for others. I share my mods and use feedback as it is the best way to improve, but there isn't enough people here to make the others my first motivation, sadly.

Dunno if my speech was in correct english, but anyway.

I want to take my mods in a new direction, something that hasn't been done before.

Can't seem to compile OpenSpades on Windows 8.1.

I will participate a lot if someone tells me how to compile OS (otherwise I will be more passive, but I will give advices anyway). I have Linux Ubuntu and I would seem to be able to compile there, but Cmake tells me it can't find SDL2 library (I did 5 copies of it and messed around with locations on SDL2.cmake, but it didnt work). On Windows XP, Cmake can't even use any of the many compilers I have. There is only a slim chance that I'd be able to install MS Visual 2010 Express and compile then.

There are some people who managed to compile OS, but it doesn't seem that they'd be interested in improving/optimising the game... Anyway, if someone with good knowledge tells me how to compile, I will gladly do what I can. I've been learning programming for 4 years and C++ for ~2 years. I have a list of things OS needs (chronological order)(not all of them):
Spoiler:
Disable complex smoke animations (gun muzzle flash)/simplify (grenade explosion)
Decrease dynamic lights
Increase hit range (like AoS 0.x)
Try to mess around with renderer; make it compatible with old version of OpenGl by reducing "features"
Erase/turn down some features (for example view is blurred too much at times)
Try to make OpenGl renderer render blocks, models the way AoS 0.x did (optional, dependent on each model)
^this should increase possibilities for modding, toasters with Intel video cards.
Implement (optional) my Day-Night mod. Maybe even make shadows (direction, lenght) depend on time of day (but not make them fancy!)
Add possibilities of new weapons, for example ability to choose different guns for the same SMG (different model, same params)
^After this release AoS-OS. New weapons LIST+PARAMS, new features of gameplay...
But I doubt I might go even as far as step 3 or 4.
Oh yeah, you should try downloading MS Visual Studio Express 2013, its free (I think so). Then get Cmake (free also). Then idk really, all I did with C++ was Code::Blocks....

Well, if you can run the pmf (or whatever Iceball is using) editor in software renderer, maybe. And Iceball's original contributors are all there; looks like they're subscribed to the feed. Just got a tonnes of email notifying activity and stuffs.

This isn't a bug. Most of Warp's weapons are over-sized (except his FN FAL, which has my script).
