Kinda late there buddy, OpenSpades is pretty dead as of the moment.
But to add the skin to the game, you've gotta go into the resources folder and open up the pak010-BaseSkin.PAK file in WinRar, Open the Models folder inside and place all the KV6 files inside the Player folder.

Openspades will eventually be dead if it keeps being 0.75 all day every day.

Although AFAIK I believe you're one of the people who are willing to actually change that.

I'd strongly recommend implementing the Powerthirst protocol extensions, but use a different ENet version number and a different AngelScript API (the API used in PT is heavily tied to how Voxlap works): http://aoswiki.rakiru.com/index.php/Ace ... s_Protocol

There's at least some commits here that support Powerthirst, you can fork and modify this to use different client scripts: https://github.com/iamgreaser/pysnip/

But first I must finish fixing OS sw renderer with LeCom (haven't started yet), which will take some time. Bugs, performance issues first.
Then flexibility, PT.

PT is about max 64 player limit, right? Or it does something more?

Names are 31 chars long, there are 64 players, and there's some way to send AngelScript code to the client to modify a few things. Oh, and the weaponset doesn't suck so much.

Also, unless that's something Lecom made pretty much from scratch, rather than a port of the Voxlap code with a few enhancements, it won't mix. Voxlap's licence is incompatible with the GPL. But if the renderer is provided as a separate DLL it might somehow work...

You really don't want to use the same API as Powerthirst - OpenSpades does not have the same internals as Voxlap. But the server that I linked shouldn't require much modification at all - just needs a version number changed. I guess you could make OpenSpades Rawberry Edition.

The rifle can hit things and the SMG is less overpowered and also notably more fun to use.

damn, i didn't know that. I wish more would play powerthirst... (Maybe Aloha could do something about it?) Do you have to download powerthirst as a version like 0.76 or .75?

make another skin. I'm keen to see your talent. try your hand at making an N7 armor from mass effect 2 or 3. Tbh, they're tricky and I don't have a good hand for it but I bet you will
