Not sure what your definition of circlejerk is, it appears to be the (incorrect) reddit version of "more than one person has an opinion I don't like"
Also the reason people think that is usually because nobody cares about necroposting, not even the admins. If anything, people dislike other regular forum users for trying to call others on rule breaking because it implies some authority.
