Problem: HD 4400 drivers crashing

Got a new laptop, hooray I can finally play OpenSpades. Nope.

Both the official 0.0.9 and unofficial 0.0.95u builds both stop responding. Everything loads normally, I can get to the team select screen. However, a few seconds later the HD 4400 (the integrated graphics card) drivers crash momentarily but then recover. However in that space of time several things have failed to load in the console and OpenSpades stops responding.

Any solutions? I have the latest drivers for the HD 4400 and Windows 8.1. There aren't any error logs to send as far as I know because it OpenSpades itself ran without a hitch.

As said in the 0.0.9 release notes:

You might experience your video driver crashing (ex. computer becomes completely unresponsible for some seconds) after enabling the new water renderer. In this case, setting r_occlusionQuery to 0 will solve this problem at the cost of the performance.

Have you tried this?

Thanks for tolerating my stupidity, I didn't see that :P Everything works fine now, thanks for your help :)
