Hey, I've been trying to help you guys for a month now with critiques and etc, but im ready to actually create something!

Ok, so here is what I am trying to accomplish:

-Sights (Reflex, Cobra, I actually want to be able to create a sight!, sort of like the EOtech and whatnot that have been created)
-Gun Modding(Like Ghost's , Stylers, etc. I just wanna know how to mod in Openspades, I have an idea of how to in Slab6)

Thats basically it, if you guys can leave replies on what software you use, tips and tricks, etc, I would really be grateful.

I just really wanna be able to help. :)

- http://buildandshoot.com/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=2863 for png sights
- use slab6 for the rest

You don't really need a tutorial for kv6 (gun models and reflex sights), just open the models from other people with slab6. You'll know the size and position then. What you could start with:
- edit the standard smg a bit
- edit an existing png sight the way you want (i use paint.net for this)
- after you are a bit more experienced, you can try reflex sights (they have to fit on the gun and the reticle have to be visible).

Modding os is a bit more complex than the normal aos client, maybe you try it there first ;).
PS: JoeJoeStinky made a slab6 tutorial.

But trust me, you can lern it without any tutorial.

Well, I'm mostly trying to create reflex sights right now. In fact, I'm trying to put a reflex on The Styler's ACOG Rifle right now.

Also, BIG BIG QUESTION: How do you use different sized blocks? I need some to make a decent ACOG sight.

Well, reflex sight is completely new (for me as well), so just open the standard one from yvt, experiment a bit with it. Mayb you have to adjust the height/seize/position of the gun or the sight.

You cant make different sized blocks, the game does this for you. Just give the files the right names.
Tip: 6x6 sight blocks are as big as one normal gun block ;).
