Build and Shoot

So first off, just got OpenSpades, and it's awesome, but unfortunately it is unplayable for me at the moment. For some reason whenever I shoot my gun I get a massive lag spike. The smg is totally unusable for me because of this. I'm assuming the muzzle flash has something to do with the problem, but it could be anything.

NOTE: aside from the lag spikes when shooting my gun, I have a perfect 60 fps with vsync on, so my hardware is not the issue here.

Any help with this issue is much appreciated :D

Yes you are completely right, smoke causes a lot of lag.
I have made custom client to make smoke lag less, you can get it here: OpenSpades Release 2015.11.19.zip
But mind that smoke will not look as good.

make sure that in the settings "debughittest" isn't enabled. I get horrible framerate cause of that fucking odd setting.
