How would go about limiting/capping the framerate at 120 FPS (or any other FPS for that matter), because it uses 100% of CPU trying to run at the highest framerate. Please note that I don't want to use V-Sync because that adds input lag.
EDIT: I use OpenGL as the renderer
not software rendering.
EDIT2: BUMP - I need to know this!
Thanks in advance,
- Adam

Unless you use a third-party program to limit your frame rate or compile your own build of OpenSpades, there is no way (as far as I know of) of capping the frame rate.
Why does it matter how much computing power OpenSpades uses, anyway? Are you running more important stuff in the background?

Because it makes my fan sound like an aeroplane.

That's understandable. But at 50 fps, my laptop only uses 30%, so why would yours use 100%? Have you tried lowering your settings? Its not like your computer renders the frames at a faster rate than the refresh rate of your monitor.

Most modern notebooks have energy saving modes. It's always possible to define how much of your CPU may be used, often you can also configure the speed of your GPU via manufacturer software.
