...really?...
Well since OS is OpenSpades and PySnip's code is also available, I believe you can DIY.

The admins don't want to risk a community split, even if the only other option is slow death.
But yes, you can do it on your own. Extending PySnip would be a pain in the ass tho, so creating a new server software might be a better option.
Oh, and you need to figure out a way to make somebody join your server.

I don't really have the skills nor time at the present. IB is far more appealing ATM.

Yeah... OS should drop it's eyecandy and try to support any OpenGl. I turned down my res to 800x600 and damn it still looks fine but runs a hell lot faster.

DirectX support would be already enough to make it bearable on Windows.

What about Linux users then? OS already has software rendering which is similar to one AoS has.

I run the game on 640x480, 4x Faster mode, and in Software mode, because that's all my computer can run it on. And it still only gives me tops 20 frames. Usually it runs closer to 10-15 frames, so... yeah... my computer is pretty bad lol.

This idiocy makes me rage so hard.
AoS still exists.

I play OS on the lowest settings and I still think it looks fabulous. Some people just like prettier games, even if that means paying through the nose on new tech.

At least he's trying though. Better than nothing, but not a replacement for AOS as a whole imo.
