Hello everyone.
I recently decided to download OS, but am obviously having a few issues. Perhaps my computer is not 'high-tech' enough to run it, or I just got a bad download URL. Can anyone help me download a version that actually works? Also, can you use openspades whilst other players are simultaneously using 0.75? And once you download openspades, how does it work? Will you always be using openspades whenever you join a server? Or do you need to choose it individually? As you can see, I have absolutely no knowledge of the workings. I would appreciate some help

Its a client. You launch the client to launch the client, once launched you can join a server. You can see if your computer by pressing the space bar 50 times when you start openspades, this will bring up the setup menu with the video settings. It also tells you if your video card supports it. OpenSpades requires openGL 2.0, your laptop most likely doesn't support it thus you will have issues.

Just more all the files from the download into a folder and open openspades.exe, Select settings depending on how good your computer is (these can always be changed) and run it, you'll be at a server browser and it's pretty self explanatory. You play on the servers that you see on the BnS server list, it's just when running it that it's different.

Still unclear; how do I see the capabilities or limits of the computer (ram, graphics card etc)?

Try using dxdiag or Speccy.

This, there is no need to check your system specs, if you don't know how to it will look gibberish to you, just experiment with graphic settings on openspades until you find a suitable one that looks good and runs stably.

Try putting all the settings of OpenSpades to the lowest, maybe turn down your resolution too. If it is playable, try raising the graphic settings until your computer can't handle it.
