Problems that make me rage

1. Installing. I couldn't find a clear guide on how to install the damn thing, so I downloaded then modded version (courtesy of 1shot1kill), extracted it to program files, and ran it. When I ran it, the damn thing was horrendously laggy, and it was outright impossible to join ANY server.

2.
My attempts at modding failed because of the lack of a "weapons" folder.

It's not hard to install...
Just download the zip file and extract the contents into a folder.

Weapons and their sights can be found here: Resources > pak010-BaseSkin.pak > Models > Weapons
Weapon sounds can be found here: Resources > pak001-Sounds.pak > Sounds > Player

You instal it by extracting the folder. Alright I guess modding isn't that straight forward but if you tried opening up the .pak file you would easily find the answer.

When the game is first installed it will be at ultra settings by default so yes you might lag if you don't turn the setting down the first time.

To increase fps, use these settings. If you still experience low fps, switch to Software Renderer.

press space bar 100 times when starting the game to get to that screen. There is an option to have it start up next time in the settings as well.

Goodness gracious me that background...

1. You don't install it, you just move the files into a folder and run the .exe.
1.5 Are you talking about lag or low FPS. If it's low FPS get a better computer, lower settings, look for GPU updates. If it's lag, get better internet, check there are no problems with the internet etc., connecting to a server hosted in a country near you will create less lag.
2. Go into resources, open BaseSkin, then models, not Models, then models, the layout is a bit weird.

Isn't that running worse than Voxlap?

I heard somebody saying 'the newer the pc is, the worse the software renderer works' i don't know if this is right but my uncle has a old winx pc with quite bad specs, and it runned better than on my vista laptop.( i get around 30fps with the sofware renderer)
