how we can turn openspades into a jagex-sinking game.

anyone who has been on the forums for at least a year knows why we have a small player database. Jagex. that unholy swear word. the company that ruined a good game. the people who screwed up EVERY SINGLE GODDAMN THING that matt told them to do! we can take back this game! I propose the following muilti-step process to SINK JAGEX!

1. borrow them hacks.

sure, it sounds like a bad idea, but there is much we can learn from them! hacks give powerups. we can use those powerups as in-game rewards for kill streaks.

2. borrow them scripts

many scripts out there (hookshot, mortar, airstrike2) are unknown, but would make games better. for instance: line of sight airstrikes (airstrike2) are easier to deploy: it doesn't take twenty minutes to launch.

3. make it free.

this is where jagex realy screwed up. a game that matt-the developer-himself promised would be free for all eternity, was now being sold on steam for fifteen dollars a pop. perhaps if matt made the game $15 from the start we wouldn't care, but he did.
MORE COMING!

Ben Aksoy is the original developer, not “matt.” Ben brought mat^2 onto Jagex’s team to help with the development of the 1.0 (Steam) version. Before that, mat^2 independently created pyspades, which is the primary server software for all versions of Ace of Spades, including OpenSpades.

OpenSpades is already a free standalone version and its source is available for anyone to do virtually anything.

This thread is seeking to destroy something else, which is counter-productive and won’t accomplish anything worthwhile. We’re here to support positive productivity, not be destructive.
