this glitch is very bad. i know that most of my games before this happend were fine. but the thing is that now, i cant play the game, and its REALLY stressing me out.
Blue_Crying

the glitch

what happens is that the world is not rendering. you can see the gui, and everything looks fine when you open up the game. but when you enter a match, you can only see the gui. everything works fine, but you cant see anything.

How this happened

so, i was installing a few gun mods for the computer. everything was fine, untill i messed up installing a gun for the game. i got it from gamejolt (i remember having the same game from gamejolt, everything was fine. the reason why i downloaded it again was because i forgot about me having the other openSpades game.) and the moment i got into a server, this glitch happend.

if you want to try to recreate it, download 2 of the same Spades game from gamejolt (12b) take one, put in paratrooper's m4 magpul

and sidex's FN-SCAR
(the yellow sniper one)
http://buildandshoot.com/viewtopic.php?f=76&t=13880

merge the 2 gfx folders, and then run the game.

once you are in a server, it should appear. back out and replace the base skin PAK with a default base skin PAK

now, if you try to reinstall. the blank screen should happen again.

could there be a solution?

now, my idea of a solution would be to remake the game entirely on a different engine. somthing like the cryengine or UE4 those are my personal choices, you have yours.

if you have a solution, please post in the comments. no doubt i will be checking this page almost daily.

Problem:
your cg_fov is equal to zero.
Solution:
a) edit configuration file
b) open up startup menu, go to advanced settings, find cg_fov and set it to something between 5 and 175 (90 recommended)
c) join a server and type "/cg_fov 90"
d) uninstall mods and try a)/b)/c) again.
e) correctly install mods.

If you install them correctly, you should see setting "cg_fov2", set it to 90. Also make sure your "cg_zoomfov" and "cg_sprintfov" aren't zeroes either.
You should be able to access these settings from in-game Setup/Options. If you aren't able to,
a) incorrect installation of mod
b) bad mod

And to be exactly precise, you are having trouble with my "Custom zoom FOV script", SCAR is using that.

You better be checkin' this page hourly
