So I recently hosted a lan party and ace of spades came up. I have started to play it again (I rather missed it) and I noticed that the fans of the *cough* better *cough* community is over here so I figured I would share my work here and such. I wasn't exactly sure how to post this as it contains everything I have released (maps, weapons, sights, skins) so if I am doing something that is against how this forum is supposed to be run, just let me know and I will try to fix it.
I will be taking requests, so just ask if you want something :) Without further ado, here is the massively long post (migrated straight from the "new" ace of spades forums).
Im not too happy about the forum switch but w/e and until (if) they readd the modding/mapping subsections this post will be maintained here. Make sure your scroll wheel works because this is one heck of a long post.
*note: includes pew sounds and shoots out fingers as casings

Had to make it a little different because of even numbers that players are made of.

*note* It looks funny because my teams are tan and forest green but def blue and green look nice.

If you would like to request something feel free to post here or pm me. I would like you to include: name of mod, a reference pic, and what you want included (scope, sounds, casing etc). I will try to finish them as they come to me.
MAPS: [grassSquare]
Spoiler:
I usually only play with just a few friends so I created my own smaller map.
The play area is 170x170 which is 1/3 a normal map. Each side has a basic base which has a tunnel leading to a foxhole about 20 blocks out from the base (bases are tan and forest because those are the team colors I use) and thats about it.
Built off of my flat map (grassSquare) I decided to make some head to head city action on a smaller scale than the 512^2s. Pretty self explanatory (with pictures of course) but a key note not captured in the pictures: ALL buildings are collapsible when all four of its corners are taken out (the only rule to the exception is the shipping yard, which has a 3x2 support in the center, and the bases on either side which cannot be collapsed). Also there is a subway which runs beneath the city and there are three entrances (one at each base and at the station in town). Let me know what you think.

Spoiler:
This a map I did in collab with matthew0901 (he gets cred for the idea and some of the layout). It is basically a map made of spheres with poison water below. I also added some landmark features and tactical options including a sniper tower, two bunkers (on the aptly named bunker peninsula) a bridge like thing making away across the map and two wall climbs to get a better shot at the enemy spawn.
Leif_The_Head wrote:Everything, absolute everything looks awesome! (waterHazard is IMO too spheric, would be awesome if the bridges would be more like tubes you walk on)
The thing with that one was that it was based on an idea from someone who wanted to do a collab with me so I just took what he had (the idea pretty much) and ran with it. I have noted that the main hill thing gets rather camped, but I have only hosted with 4-5 people. I am thinking about doing more mapping so if you have any more recommendations, I will accept them gladly.
I am having the idea quite a while and finally I found a good modder who could try it.
I wish a map in which you fight for several houses in a town (like a house for house war in some civil wars), in which the shotgun is really useful (short hallways and many corners). Best gamemode I thought of would be TC (haven't seen that a while)

That's just really cool. GJ.
Yup that was actually intended as a thing just to test if I could replace the hand of the player.

This is my old thread from the old aos forums that I ported to the new aos forums and then over here (because new game sucks).

I started an office a while back but never got around to finishing it and then my hard drive crashed on my laptop. Sounds interesting though and I would be willing to try it, and to add a new element I am thinking about one of those hillside cities in south america (can't think of the name at the moment). Picture for basic idea.

Looks good, try it! BTW you have a pic of an italian city there, I can tell that from the URL

Also realized that a bit later. But this map is too open for what I want.
I want a map where you fight house for house, maybe some straight streets to snipe, but mainly more complex houses than on Favela, with some backyards and some balconys. Sadly I am not experienced in map making at all, I would do it on my own.

Well dang, I have to at least change the name now ... Oh well. The map I am working on is about a third of the map and is just the hillside houses with a few streets.
