Right, this is a tutorial on how to switch the color palettes for when you are making variations/camos for a
previous weapon skin you have made :3

Step 1: Open up your weapon skin

Image

Step 2: Sigh as you blankly stare at the old, dull color palette in the bottom-right hand corner

Image

There are two ways of doing what i am about to show you, i will be demonstrating the outcome of each.
(I recommend option 2)

Option 1 - Step 3: Go to tools -> Replace palette

Image

Option 2 - Step 3: Go to tools -> Replace palette and convert colors

Image

When you click either of these, a new window will pop up, which will look like this:

Image

Go to wherever you keep the backup of the default AoS kv6 files, and click on either:
"smgcasing", "shotguncasing", or "semicasing". (If you do not have a backup of the default
AoS kv6 files, all hope is not lost. You can then just go to the directory in which you installed
slab6 and click on any of the ".kvx" files as most of them are different to the default color palette.
p.s. i recommend clicking on "cac.kvx" because it uses the same palette as the weapon casing's.

Once you click on one of these files, If you followed option 1, you will notice this...

Image

...that, although the palette in the bottom-right hand corner is now different, the gun skin's colors have been
changed according to the location at which they were on the previous color palette.

Whereas, if you followed option 2, you will see this...

Image

...that the gun skin's colors have stayed exactly as they were, as well as the color palette being switched with
the new palette.

This will allow you to make more varied camos for your weapons because there is a bigger range of colors in this palette :D

I hope this helped, if it did please give your feedback below, if you have anything to add to this,
feel free to leave a comment and i will add it to my topic, and give credit to you :3

...good luck with your mods too <3

should also note that you can change one of the colors on the palette by selecting it and using the numpad keys to change it
R value: 1 for down and 4 for up, G value: 2 for down and 5 for up, and B value: 3 for down and 6 for up.
If you're on a laptop you can use the FN key and locate the numpad keys to use them.
