A female in a biological apocalypse it is, then. This requires a somewhat hefty backstory so to properly start the apocalypse scenario it may take me a few posts, unless you like HUGE chunks of text. Do bear in mind that your initial decisions will heavily affect the events of the story though, perhaps more so than any others. While the locations of the story will generally come from my imagination, for practical reasons assume it takes place somewhere in the US.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In the town of Corn Ridge, The 3rd of February, 2014 was no ordinary Monday. (Sorry to break immersion here but I'm doing this story from a day-ahead perspective, it makes it easier for me)
You board the school bus to find an unfamiliar face at the wheel. You figure the driver must have called in sick. Walking down the aisle, you also notice the a distinct lack of students on board the bus. You turn to the driver and ask him what's going on.
'Excuse me, where is everybody'?
'Nasty bug going around town. Jim's come down with it too, but the bus stops for nobody and nothing, which is why I'm here! He told me he was feeling a little under the weather, so I took the bus this morning while he fills out paperwork. Not to worry though, he should be fine in a day or two.'
You continue down the aisle and take a seat at the back, behind a boy you've never seen before. The morning cold fogs up every windows. Using the sleeve of your jacket, you rub the window and look outside to find the normally-busy road almost totally devoid of cars.
You enter the main building of Corn Ridge High School and walk down the hall to your class, the strange and unfamiliar boy following closely behind. Just like on the bus, almost no-one on the has decided turn up. Unfortunately, your insufferable teacher Mrs. Newfield has decided to make an appearance, and offers a look even more spiteful than usual. Needless to say, you and Mrs. Newfield do not get along.
When what remains of the class is seated, Mrs. Newfield begins the speak, the entire class immediately giving her their full attention like a group of trained monkeys.
'Since so very few of you have even bothered to turn up to my class, I won't be calling the roll this morning. Instead, I would like to introduce you to our newest student, Ben Aksoy. He's recently transferred here from interstate and I'm sure you'll make him feel very welcome. I would one of you to take Ben under your wing for the time being as he settles in here at CRHS. Any takers?'
You slowly turn to Ben, who is awkwardly staring at his desk. Probably a total loser. Still, it's not like you have a lot of friends yourself, and none of them showed up today.
DECISION
A. Raise your hand, and offer to take Ben under your wing.
B. Say and do nothing. Ben seems like a weirdo.

3 a's and 3 b's - I've decided I'm going to go with whatever's convenient if there's a hung vote. 1 hour to go, tell your friends to vote!
