Build and Shoot

I have been tossing around the idea of creating a variety server. i.e. a server running multiple game modes. You can do this with by modify map meta data. And toggle a Boolean value in most scripts. On each map load pyspades read the map data and determines which game mode to run. So my question to you is which games modes and maps map the perfect combination?

Format your favorites as follows:

TDM: Pinpoint

Favorite gamemode 1:Babel
Pinpoint2
Favorite gamemode 2:1ctfpinpoint
Lol,is that really hard to figure out "Pinpoint"

Having everything pinpoint kinda defeats the purpose of a variety server booboorocks998 and CaptainDerpster

I ever loved maps like Hallway, Anticbridge and Bridge wars for CTF. :)

Pinpoint would be cool for short tdm matches (for sure with water damage) I think. Have never tested this :D

I'd really like to see infiltration again, I hear it broke with one of the recent pyspades updates.
Not too bothered about the maps for it, most infiltration maps are good

Favourite Game mode: TC/TOW
Maps that make it great: ClassicGen, IronGrass, Siberia, Island, Random########, Normandie
Second favourite: CTF
Maps that make it great: ClassicGen, Normandie, Random#######, Maple
Third Favourite: Infiltration
Maps: Well, pretty much all the basic Inf maps. Omaha beach is good too.

I think if you set up some of these, there should be 2 seperate ones.
One for all the game modes
One for all the "Serious" Gamemodes. The serious one wouldn't run Arena TDM and FFA for the people who dislike them (such as myself)

TDM and free for all (if that even still exists anymore...). I miss FFA.

Please please please please please please please please please please please don't use anticbridge. It's the shittiest map ever.

Same deal with anything *bridge (barring maybe "realistic bridge", but I haven't checked that out yet).

Anyhow, back on topic...

In no particular order:

• I'd love to see kraken happen again. There's a specific map for it so I shouldn't have to name it. Not all the time, but it's quite fun.
• r1ctf is pretty gnarly. Just remember to make the script flame people more often. I suspect goonassault would be good for this?
• Can't not have regular ctf. Also, make sure there's plenty of gen maps. For smaller stuff, newfort is quite nice, and basically anything by tGM is good.
• I'd expect babel to happen every now and then. The map doesn't really matter here.
• I haven't played ffa before, but it could be fun, possibly on a small map.
• Keen for arena but please use smgsucks.py. I don't know the names of the maps, sorry.

Why disable SMG? What's wrong with it? Never had much problems with it before :/
