Hey, I was wondering if anyone else missed playing on classicgen, or other great maps, with buddies and friends who were cooperative.

Well, I do, and I was thinking, why don't we have a big match as a community? Perhaps we could play on one of those aloha.pk servers, maybe the LINES, server, or maybe someone would kindly host it, and not put it on the master server, so only community players could play. I dunno, I just want to play Ace Of Spades like how it was supposed to played, with friends, slow, and fun.

This is like an event, we used to have some before, however nowadays AoS is practically dead and event promoted by someone not "known" by the community generally will not forward. I can host a server

Why don't you just join a League clan? And participate In League Season 4? It's essentially the same thing.

If you get this off the ground I'm more than happy to lend the LINES server for the event.

If you can get a time and date, I'm in.

Would be nice to have an event countdown feature on BnS. And not just a text post in the sidebar.

Laid back. Sounds good. Count me in. You should start up a pole for it to see how many people will play. That way you know if you need a second server. or if it'll be smaller.

I'd give it about 2 weeks. Maybe longer, depending on how many players sign up.

Yeah. You want to give people enough to see and sign up.

Sounds like a good idea. Perhaps we can just run the server for the whole day, instead of having a set date or something? I honestly don't want this to turn into something mandatory for you to dedicate time to, just something cool for the community to do together.

And I was thinking:

Classicgen, rifles, and TC? what do you guys think about that?

I would rather have just a plain classic gen server ran on 0.75 with CTF

I think this is the kind of thing that the community needs. Things have been really competitive and serious lately (my opinion) and an event like this could help people think about BnS future through the combination of active players and respected members in a friendly match. I'm pretty sure all of us here would want this right? So if this actually goes down, count me in.
