...to those that are posting threads about making Build and Shoot something that it isn't, please stop. Build and Shoot is an ALTERNATIVE forums for the game Ace of Spades; however, our main focus is on the classic version. The Steam version of Ace of Spades is supported here, too (as in a section for it). We also support alternative clients for the classic version and other indie games that are similar in nature.
The main suggestion is moving Build and Shoot to .76. Okay, how do you suppose we do that with the amount of people that play the game? Just shut down the .75 master server? Better yet, how do you FORCE people to switch? The last group of people that FORCED people to do things in Ace of Spades went by the name Jagex. Are we Jagex? Since when did we force people to do things?
There's also people saying that we should focus mainly on OpenSpades or IceBall. OpenSpades, for one, is technically cheating, because the weapon values in it are a slight unfair compared to the default, and this has been confirmed. And, IceBall? Really? Play the game of a developer who (1. hates the Build and Shoot community and (2. is too lazy to design his own game? Really?
Well, that's my rant and I feel better.
Oh, and the switching of version (as quoted by StackOverflow) will partially kill the community, and judging by your mediocre suggestions, you care about the community.

I suggested an openspades master server to avoid any unfairness between aos and os players on the same servers. ( I thought you read my post :<).

(1. I didn't have to read your post because it's the same as everyone else's, plus my post on your thread didn't acknowledge your thread
(2. People are saying that OpenSpades should be the ONLY client
(3. A master server for OpenSpades seems viable but unnecessary seeing that it can connect to the .75 and .76 master servers just fine

Im not seeing the whole big picture of this changing build and shoot to completely .76. Sure people say it would be a master version and has superior features than .75
I agree with MKU on this, Buildandshoot would have the characteristics of Jagex, if you would force the community to change to a completely different version. If you would completely drop the .75 version and give the community a version which is different from the version they have been playing for over a year. I wouldn't think they could grasp the idea of .76 and just completely leave the game.
This idea of changing Buildandshoot to .76 is like trying to force a baby to eat something will make it hate you. Consider the community a Baby, if you feed it something it doesn't like. It will hate you and leave all together. Think of everyone in the community and not just the players who play .76. Half the players who play .75 don't even have a forums account so they wouldnt even know what would be going on or couldn't even intelligently respond to anything about Buildandshoot changing to . 76 and dropping the version they've been playing for over a year.

(2. Again, didn't read my post where i wrote "imo we have to make OS master server firstm to avoid unfairness between people playing with aos clients and os clients on one server"
(3. You wrote one post above that it using openspades on .76/.75 server is cheating oO.

Doesn't matter what master server is used, weapon values are mainly client sided. And, about 2 months, OpenSpades didn't exist, but now we NEED to do something with OpenSpades to make it fair? Where's the logic in that?

Pls YOU said first that openSpades is cheating. What master server is used does actually matter because someone using openSpades on an openSpades only server doesn't cheat because there aren't any people with aos clients (and different weapon values ).

So, that makes OpenSpades seperate. Congrats. Then what? How does that reboot Build and Shoot?

IMO we should make .76 the main version, while still not dropping support for .75, just make .76 appear first and have (upgraded) in front of its name when you rover the mouse over Server List and Downloads. People will eventually make a switch over to .76, even though slowly, as there more servers are made for it.

We need to put that "upgraded" in English and Portuguese.

How do you alert the people that play .75 and don't use the forums or are lazy to even do anything? Completely switching to .76 will ruin Build and Shoot. And, the has been agreed with most of the BnS staff.

Read my fucking post again.
while still not dropping support for .75
I never said we drop support completely, just put .76 as the foremost version.
Yes, it will be unpopulated at first, but people will start making the switch to it and get it more or less on the same level of players as .75.

Never actually played open spades, how are the weapon values different?

Mostly spread values for the shotgun and the smg. More so with the shotgun, it has less recoil and is pretty deadly.
