Why do the servers not run .76RC10?

The original, free Ace of Spades game powered by the Voxlap engine. Known as “Classic,” 0.75, 0.76, and all 0.x versions. Created by Ben Aksoy.

The title says it all. Why are all the servers running .75 instead of .76RC10? Isn't it better than .75? Sorry if this has been explained a while ago. I hadn't played AoS in a while.

There hasn't been a proper release of 0.76 so casuals don't know about it -> No players in 0.76 servers -> Heck I'll just host 0.75.

Partly because of the RC part, I'd assume. And I don't think there's a 0.76 version of PySnip, so it'd be a bit harder to get a server for 0.76.
