Hey guys, Spring here. Earlier today, during the AK vs. SS match, I was talking to ExiTeD/hankey in spectator, and we discussed the idea of an Ace of Spades Olympics-like Tournament, in which each team would be comprised of players from the same country, and there would be a single elimination tournament to determine who would claim a "World Cup" of some sorts. I figured that it could work somewhat similar to the BnS League tournaments, in that there could be a regular season in order to determine who qualifies for the final tournament. This way, it would be guaranteed that the amount of teams participating in the tournament is a nice, even number, such as 8, 16 or 32. I also thought that it would be quite silly for there to only be one team per country, so therefore I'm thinking that any country can have an unlimited amount of teams.
( Note: None of these ideas are set in stone and are all subject to change. This is simply a concept draft, if you will.)

Ace of Spades Olympics Tournament!

Seems like it would work, but what about the timezones?
See, if a team like Germany faced a team like the USA, many players would have to play out of the comfort zone, like at 1:00 am or something of that sort.
Other than that, the idea seems very interesting.

Like SS is german right? And AK is American, and they have matches.

AK is pretty much all American except for one or two people so it would be cool!

There will most definitely be times that work for everyone. The farthest away from someone that you can be in terms of timezones is 12 hours, in which case one team would play in the morning while the other in the evening. I'd say it would be rather manageable.

Also note: The teams formed can be clan based, but do not have to be, and you will most likely be playing with people who are not from the same clan as you, perhaps even people who you've never played with before, which could prove an exciting experience.
