I highly doubt it. mat^2 is under a lot of contractual bullshit and I'm guessing his contract would forbid him from hosting the high score table. Unless someone else is willing to host it, that's just not going to happen.

we could support that but it is a huge security risk. You could accidently forget the slash and give out your password to 31 other people. Or more malicious server owners could log your passwords.

That is why we want to have authing via the bns launcher. Both of those security disappear with client side authing.

Yeah, this feature never sat very well with me. The fact that I was effectively giving my Ace of Spades forums password to Tocksman/Enari/izzy was enough to deter me from ever using it.

as an alternative to the launcher, maybe modloader can send a login to a server?

I heard there's this thing. It's called VoxelAuth. It does everything except it's not integrated with the forum database.
