I was thinking of another wiki. The fan one which is wikia.com or something, my internet was down temporally one day (which happens alot where I live) and when I tried to connect to it it said it gone. I thought it was deleted by Jagex so I went to the fan one is which is terrible. There we go

As far as I know, it is still community run. I believe some people here have the whole thing backed-up in case it should go down though, and I have a wiki too, mainly for technical information.

"spam"... "unmoderated".
I logged in a minute ago to find two spam pages.. and they have now been dealt with. Check back in the recent changes log, it's far from unmoderated :p Granted I don't check it every day, but I do check periodically and do the necessaries.

The wiki has myself, Ace and Lythrynyx as administrators, but only I am semi-active out of the three - Lyth vanished ages back and Ace is being his usual 'poke his head into IRC every now and again'.
The wiki is actually owned by mpcovcd, so any action including it would need to be run by him, which I can do by email. Last I contacted him he hadn't been contacted by Jagex; It's possible we could snag it for build and shoot, but it all depends on what mpcovcd wants to do.

I'd also like to point out that it is down to the users to moderate and edit pages. It's a darn wiki, it's purpose is to be altered by the users to make it better - don't go around expecting a team of moderators to do all the content fixing for you (especially when that team of moderators is just me!).
Found a page that isn't great? Fix it yourself! That's the whole point of a wiki..

(BTW I always watched your vids and liked them, but I don't know if I want to anymore... At least CocoSmackdown is positive, and don't accuse me of being a kid or something, I've been grieving for a family member who has passed on and I have been quite delicate recently)

It used to be a hub and a community in its own right, but has slowly phased out over the last year, leaving me to be the main one doing the clean-up when the bots get through. My apologies that it came over a bit condescending, but I've had several people along the line say that 'oh, the wiki needs improving', when a wiki should be all about its users and the input they create, seems people expect others to do it for them, when those people are busy enough as it is :/

I don't recall accusing you of being a kid either.. the other thread was about a previously discussed/debated topic; A script, which did pretty much what you described, had previously been made and it got way too many false positives; so it wasn't too surprising that re-suggesting it resulted in it being shot down..

Watching my videos is up to you; I can neither force you or stop you. As with Coco's videos, you can watch them if you want; I personally have found it a little unreal to see constant positivity with his videos, when to me there are (or at least, were) numerous problems with the game, regardless of whether you approach it from a "prototype" standpoint, or a completely fresh view.

All due respect to your family and the deceased. Just be weary that this is a forum, and the only stuff we know about you is your profile and the text you submit, just bear that in mind when posting and reading replies.
