New Players Quick Start Guide
So you've decided to try out the free Ace of Spades. Below I've written some shit to help you deuces get started.
Note: If I'm missing out on some points feel free to reply and i'll amend this. I'm pretty lazy but i'll get around to it

First up is getting the game
Simply click this link and download it: Download Link
Just run the installer and you're good to go.

Connecting to servers?
Just go to the Server List page and click on a server you wish to connect too.
Some great servers are (Shams Little Pony, Aloha, and Minit).

Changing your controls and name
Changing your controls is a pain in the ass it's done by editing the config.ini in your Ace of Spades install folder
(default C:\Ace of Spades\).
There is however a utility made by Stack Overflow that allows you to edit your config through a GUI Aoskeymapper
(Using this method you will still need to change your name through the config.ini file)

In-game commands
There are some in-game commands available to players.
To use a command just type it in via chat (all commands are prefixed with '/' )
Note: names don't have to be typed completely, although you need enough characters to make it unique, and it doesn't need to start from the beginning. Also all commands that use names can be replaced by id. i.e /ratio #8
(ignore the < > in commands)

/ratio
Displays your kill-death ratio. You can also add a name after to see another players.
i.e /ratio tiki
/streak
Displays your current kill streak and your highest kill streak
/intel
Displays the name of a teammate holding the enemy intel
/admin <message>
Sends a message to the admins of a particular server, useful to report possible cheaters etc.
i.e /admin Tiki is griefing
/ping
Display your latency
You can also check the ping of other players i.e /ping tiki
/pm <name> <message>
Privately messages another player on the server.
i.e /pm Nesto Someone needs to make a sexier B&S logo
/votekick <name> <reason>
Starts a votekick against another player for the reason you've specified
(Although adding a reason isn't required, it's encouraged as many admins will cancel votekicks given without a reason).
i.e /votekick space101 hello Space
(If someone has started a votekick and you wish to also vote against them you simply type /y in chat )
Out of Game Communication
Minit hosts a mumble server, instructions on joining can be found here
http://forum.minit.nu/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=28

Useful Resources
Check the "Ace of Spades Resources" box on the bottom of the BuildandShoot homepage for links to various tools and information.
In particular learn_more's ModLoader Which extends the functionality of AoS.

Question: What is the difference between AoS version 0.75 and version 0.76?

Which one is better, or does it not matter?

0.75 was the 'currently released version', while 0.76 was the version that was awaiting release but was infinitely delayed due to 1.0 being developed and some other reasons pretty unknown.

0.75 has lousy accuracy and hits, 0.76 fixes that and personally looks better with the different HUD stuff.

Hmm, I tried installing 0.76 but it seems that every server is conflicting with my version. Is there anything I can do to fix it/see which servers use what version?

"most" is still not "all" though.

Check the server list, all of the servers use Pyspades or Pysnip.
So yeah, probably ALL of them use the commands.

I've removed some commands on my servers. /intel isn't useful in non-intel modes.

For votekicking, I always thought you had to type the player's number instead of their name. Huh.
