I have done this:
1. Downloaded the 3 things (Game Client 0.75 and 0.76 and the launcher.
2. Run the launcher install.
3.Opened it.
4. Clicked "add new installation".
5. Found where I downloaded 0.75 and 0.76 to and opened them in the game installations.
6. Clicked "finished".
7. The "game installations" window turned into a window that had "play", "configuration" and "game installations".
8. I clicked play.
9. Opened server list.
10. Clicked on a server.
11. A error came up "Failed to open config file".
I cannot play :'( Please tell what I have done wrong.
I got these steps from "Danhezee"

"Failed to open config file" from my understanding can be an issue with respect to it not being able to write to config.ini. In this case, it's perfectly fine.
However, it sounds like client.exe is unable to read config.ini. If config.ini does not exist, it will attempt to create it. I suspect it's trying to create it, and failing.
Where did you install Ace of Spades to, and what version of Windows are you running?

I had him do everything above. When you install the clients that way, they are placed in %appdata%, I had him check to see if the config was there. It was, but I didnt want to try to explain file permission to him, so I had him run the 0.75 installer which would put a fresh copy of 0.75 on his machine. He could join a server but would get booted with a server disconnect error. He said he tried multiple servers, and that is when I recommended the forums.

Woooot! I decided to use Firefox... Plus I suddenly understood the a guide that "Danhezee" recommended to me. I don't know if that had any effect but all I know is that it is working. BUT don't expect to see me around for a fairly long time. My internet is dead for some reason.
^ Okay I actually got onto a server so let me change that. BUT don't expect to see me shooting anyone for a fairly long time. P.S its very laggy.
