The only REAL reason why I have been excited about the Steam version was that they actually might get a grip on the cheating problem.
I know that some players are better than others, but when there's a CHEATER on almost EVERY open SERVER it is kind of frustrating.(I usually check peoples accuracy and sometimes it is just plain obvious)
I also know, that with a decentralized dev team it is almost impossible to efficiently tackle such a huge problem, but is there a chance that this might actually get better?!
It spoils the fun for casual gamers like myself;
I simply don't have the time and dedication to join a clan, only in order to enjoy cheat-free babel matches.
If I posted this in the wrong place, i apologize.
The Jagex Laggocaust frustrated me so much I joined a Forum for the first time in my life,
just to vent my frustration.
But than again, that's what forums are for, right?!
the only Problem?!

Actually, we do have some very effective tools now that greatly reduce the number of hackers on our servers. The Minit servers are well moderated and our advanced hack detection provides a fairly hacker free environment.

Jagex didn't solve the "hacker problem" with 1.0. lol.
