Hi,
Just a quick heads up.
I just tallied up the number of players playing on AoS 1.0 at the moment:
There are currently 167 players on Aos.
On BnS as I'm writing this, there are (drum roll please) 188 players.
Congrats:)
Dom.
AoS vs BnS players online - CONGRATULATIONS!

Sum those two numbers together, and you'll have less players than what we had before jagex started interfering.

Lol, yeah, anyone that has every run a website with any kind of form anywhere on it will realise that at least 50% of that 500,000 would probably be bots.
Apparently not Jagex, as they setup 927 servers for launch.
http://store.steampowered.com/stats/ suggests the most players they've had online at a time is 942.
They must be hemorrhaging money right now. Without some sort of reoccurring payments or micro-payments, there's no way they can afford to keep over 900 servers running. They're opening more as well because it appears they forgot about Australia so there's loads of pissed of >300ms ping Australians.

Then the press release the day before mention y number of pre-registered users. If I am not mistaken x = y. Downloading 0.75 counted as pre-registration.kmaj wrote:So much for 500'000'000 quintillion preregisters.By that, they meant people putting their email address into the box on the homepage and hitting submit. Let's not get cocky... Right now:
1.0: 628
0.75: 268
It's still no way near 500,000 people though.
