This is just a suggestion, but I think it would be beneficial to resize landing video, and put the main download links smack dab on the portal, landing, drop page ( everyone always calls them something different ), I'm just thinking about small tweaks to help improve the flow of incoming deuces, steps can be taken to get them in to the game faster, more people playing more likely to grow.

For every person that takes the time to look around to find the downloads, or the launcher, I'm guessing there are at least 3 - 4+ that completely miss it, and B&S loses out to frustration when it comes to random search result incoming, or other game review site incoming. I know that seems almost counter intuitive, on the fact it's right there in the menu, but the age, and country of origin differs so much with the games demographics. I think the numbers possibly being missed could be substantial.

Like this post, we like to have long winded convos on here, studies suggest that multiple internet user archetypes exists and most of them, completely tend to ignore and overlook long bouts of text, and want what they search for, directly on the subsequent page beyond the clicked result. Meaning while the forum is great for the current community, and the few that brave to become a part of the conversation, it lacks the simple here are the links in your face nature of deuces.

With over 11,000 registered members, and I really haven't seen 11,000 different people writing and replying here, have you? The better question, why are we hooking so many to get to the point of registering, but some how not getting them in the game?

My overall point being, I think there are ways in which we can better connect with all the types visiting, and we should all think about ways to better improve the deuces experience. Want to see the 0.75/0.76 scale tip? I do too, but as we have seen, it's plateaued, so how do we get these numbers, recruiting, asking friends great way! but there is also that steady stream of people looking for a new game to play.. daily ( like game resources, we know that adds up ), let's treat the new guys a little nicer and we would have steady growth and possibly could really tip that scale...

EDIT: Also realized there are no social plugins or sharing being used, it may be wise to utilize some of the simple plugins available, that will help push the traffic coming over from FB and the B&S FB fan page.

EDIT2: Site meta keywords are very general, which isn't bad as a catch all, but it also leaves it up for a lot of competition for these generalized keywords in the results, additional keywords should be added that should coin on nitch terms or items that are even more likely be related, minecraft fps, instead of minecraft,fps. The difference being if you put minecraft, and fps as separate keywords, they are going to be lower on the relative list if someone was actually typing the full "minecraft fps" keyword. So more complex nich keywords should be added to insure we get high rankings in a lot of the misc keyword searches.

Some keyword suggestions, "minecraft with guns", "free to play", "free to play minecraft fps", "first person minecraft","guns in minecraft","minecraft clones","like minecraft","sandbox fps","first person sandbox","free aceofspades","free minecraft with guns" With many different variations, and you can also, then take the keywords and get a list of commonly misspelled versions of them.

Yeah player counts have been declining since April after steady growth until then.

Thanks danhezee, as with many here, I really want to see buildandshoot grow, to reach it's full potential, I would like to help it in that effort, any way I can. I can't afford to donate to the cause directly or I would, but if some outside the box thinking, or donating some time to the cause can help, then I feel compelled to do so.

Admins are good peoples, the community base is good peoples, this is some sweet @$$ community action right he'yar.

Why not direct new people to 0.76 but still have 0.75, just in the background and harder to find.

Well, one thing would be that the site only provides you with the 0.75 installer under the how to play tab and some players might actually just want to get a quick game in before going into the logistics of the game. I suggest putting a second link to the 0.76 download, or the Multi-version Launcher.
