1.0 Gameplay released

Some things to notice:
  • Weapons do a ridiculous amount of block damage, yet rocket damage seems to be entirely random when a player is hit.
  • Health bar is a sliding bar. There is an animation to your health bar now, slowly draining it away when you get damaged. Immediate health feedback doesn't exist. (What the fuck?)
  • Graves drop where players die.
  • Every class has prefabricated structures they can deploy.
  • Building structures looks pretty pointless from the gameplay; rockets/drills/etc. destroy a large amount of bocks.
  • There is a HUD that is looking suspiciously more like CoD than AoS.
  • It's hard to tell when you're shot.

Well the middle video is the only one that I really care about. It shows that the sniper has an absolutely disgusting looking scope. Seriously the old rifle ironsights looked 10x better.

And Airstrikes were added ingame as rewards. KILLSTREAKS ARE STUPID.

Meh, I don't really see many things wrong with killsteaks. Airstrikes worked pretty well in 0.75.

The only one of those that's "new" and is actually "gameplay" is the second one, by the way.

And why can you ironsight the pistol?

Airstrikes were only used to camp spawn and killstreaks only serve to further the divide between bad players and good players.

pistols have iron sights in real life, I am not sure why you shouldn't be able to use them.

it doesn't look that bad actually, it looks like it's more of a complete game now, which is a good thing.

meh. they added a lot of flash to it, that's for sure, seems more arcadeish. The only thing that looks interesting to me are the mines. the rest is just sparkles.

A lot faster paced. Infact it's so fast paced that it's shit. I had some hope in jagex at first but when I actually tried the game i got disappointed. So i may gonna stay with you guys.

Jeez. It's all bells and whistles and no real gameplay. It's like Tf2, Minecraft, and CoD all in one. Where is the AoS that I used to know?

Looks like crap and it makes me sad.. :/ Don't even attempt to have an opinion on the steam AoS Community discussion about the original AoS being better or mentioning that Jagex nixed the modding aspect. Just get banned and have the post deleted for the most part.
